Never a Dull Moment

Notes of interest from last night:

1. First of all, I found Darth Vader's missing helmet.

If I do happen to have any loyal readers, you might remember how the helmet went missing and I had considered the idea that maybe Ada ate it. Well, last night, I convinced myself that she really did swallow the thing, and it was probably stuck in her digestive tract somewhere, which is why she's been so crabby. Plus, she didn't eat supper last night. Surely, she had a black helmet stuffed somewhere in her small intestines, and I was going to spend the night in the hospital with her, explaining to the doctor how said helmet got there.

So, I went on a cleaning spree in Gabe's room. I looked in the bookshelf, in every drawer, in this toy boxes, under the bed. Pretty soon, I decided that while I was cleaning, I should probably dump the water out of his humidifier because we haven't even used it for a couple of months. I lugged it to the sink, took off the cover, turned it over, and out came the black helmet we've all been looking for. I was so excited that Ada hadn't eaten it that the kids and I ran outside to show Al what we had found.

So goes life around here ...

2. I broke the gate at the bottom of the stairs last night. Let's just say that a plastic Little People bus is as good as a missle when it's tumbling down a flight of stairs. That Plexy glass never had a chance.

3. Oh, and a third, more romantic note: My sweetheart popped in about 20 minutes ago with a bouquet of red roses. Awwwww ... Guess he's not too mad that he'll be building a new gate this weekend.
