Green Goals

So it's cool to be green this year.

Target and Pottery Barn are carrying "green" water bottles, the idea being that when we were all on a kick to be healthy and "hydrate" a couple of years ago, no one thought about all the crap we were throwing away. So, now everyone needs a stainless steel, designer water bottle to carry around. So chic.

I heard that a country star was selling recycled shirts at his concert and using biofuel in his buses. The shirts were made out of recycled bottles. OK, my first question is, "Can't we think of a more practical use for recycled bottles than making shirts."

But, there is one bandwagon I'm going to jump on: reusable grocery bags. Seriously, every store is carrying them now for about $1.50 a piece. Target's are problaby the hippiest, but you can get them at WalMart, Pick N Save, Copps, etc., etc., etc. It's got to be the most common sense, practical, easy way we can all make a little difference.

So get out there! Buy some reusable bags. Get hip! Be GREEN!!!
